The Honey and Mumford learning style inventory has been applied before the commencement of the clerkship and has been continued till the end of it. To generate accurate and idealistic outcomes in terms of education, societies have been trying to develop suitable styles of learning. In this paper, overviews of the information of the existing styles of learning that recur in students learning have been provided. The models of learning (Kolbs learning style model and Honey and Mumfords learning style model) and cognitive style of learning have been investigated further to understand the issue better. The main objective of this paper is to provide an insight about the major drawbacks of the various learning style models. E-learning systems have gained recognition in recent times and its model has a lot of variations. This type of learning model has certain psychological features and preferences in terms of study that outline the characteristics of the students in terms of their learning styles. In this study, frameworks for the various leaning styles which are applied globally have been defined. The revisions of six learning styles have been proposed. The various learning styles and their links among various aspects in terms of traits have been examined. In the end, how Learners Characteristics Ontology develops a multi faceted model instrument has been also investigated in this study. In this article, the researchers have categorized diverse learning styles. Kolb segregated the learning styles into assimilators, Divergers, accommodators and Convergers. On the other hand Honey and Mumford categorized learning styles into activists, theorists, reflectors and pragmatists. The article also sheds light on Neil Flemings VARK model comprising of visual, auditory, read and write and kinesthetic components. The study was conducted to analyze the frequency of learning style of the medical students. This was correlated to the preferable teaching methods and academic developments. The study was conducted on 77 medical students from the final year. The questionnaires were prepared using the Honey and Munford style. Another set of questionnaire was prepared to know the preference of the students about the various teaching methodology This article studies the multiple factors that affect the learning process of nursing students.
